About Russell Ramey

Russell Ramey is Chief Solutions Architect at Aeris Logic LLC. He has extensive experience in enterprise networks, infrastructure architecture, information security, and many successful implementations of large complex systems. Russell is highly skilled in technical problem determination and resolution, infrastructure design, and construction of tight and efficient high performance global networks.

Russell earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University, and did graduate work at Columbia University in computer science. His certifications include, CISSP, AWS Solutions Architect, and he is a Cisco Certified Network Professional. Russell also has development experience and was the chief architect and lead developer for a major bank domestic funds transfer system. Later he managed the network planning group at Morgan Stanley, and built out their global voice and data unified network along with building and provisioning trading floors, data centers and, large market data systems. During his twelve years at Shearman and Sterling, Russell ran the infrastructure group and created the first full time position for head of Information Security, and occupied that position for three years. This included working with disaster recovery planning, audits, GLBA compliance, EU Data Privacy Directive compliance and safe harbor filings, large complex e-discovery both from the client and law firm perspectives, and document retention policies and systems. In addition, Russell has also written and implemented global information security policies. Russell now specializes in solving information security, architecture, and operations problems as a service for firms of all sizes.
